Summary:
Banshees are female spirits who were skillful magicians in life. In death, they are cursed; most known for shrieking/wailing as an omen of impending death.
History:
Banshees are said to be both good and evil. Good Banshees usually take form as beautiful enchanting women that sing a sorrowful song which is filled with concern and love for their families. Evil Banshees typically appear with long white hair, blood red eyes, elongated jaws when shreeching, some appear naked from waist up others are dressed in white or green dresses. Evil banshees, whereas, they do not cause the death have been known to derive pleasure from taking a life and they actively seek out their victims and wail at them to the point where the person commits suicide or goes insane.
Banshees similar to ghouls exist in the afterlife of a being. The difference is that Banshee’s have been altered with wizard magic. The first banshee’s were viciously murdered witches in their dying breaths they chaNted an everlasting curse. To those who die a vicious death they will come back as a vengeful Banshee to warn loved ones of impending doom. Depending on who the person was in their living life, they will become the good banshee, enchantingly singing to their loved ones or they will become the screaming banshee. Some more twisted souls receive pleasure from taking lives as they send them into insanity before doing so. These creatures have been used as a tool against humans throughout the centuries, and they were beginning to get on their radar as threats. The humans crafted a form of prison for the banshees binding them to objects or locations. But it still wasn’t until they were bribed by the Grand Warlock, to lift the curse, where they joined forces to take down the humans.
